Rewild Earth is only meaningful if the planting and restoration behind it is real and lasting. GoC5 has not announced any rewilding partners yet. This page sets out the standards we would apply, so you can hold us to them.
Our vetting checklist
- Local ownership. Projects led by or co-designed with local communities, with fair pay for planters.
- Right tree, right place. Native species suited to the site, with mixed planting rather than monocultures.
- Survival, not just planting. Published monitoring of how many seedlings survive after one, three and five years.
- Land rights and permanence. Clear legal protection for the site and a plan for upkeep.
- Transparent costs. A clear account of what share of each contribution reaches the field.
- Independent verification. Third-party audits or recognised standards where they exist.
What members would see
For each sponsored planting: where it is, what species, who plants and monitors, and updates over time. The sample mangrove perk shows the idea; it is illustrative only.
Closer to home
You do not need a partner to rewild. A balcony pot counts. See the Rewild Earth guide.
Are you a restoration group?
