Toronto Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is coming off a solid 2024 season. He started all but three regular-season games, hitting a career-high .323/.396/.544 with 30 home runs and 103 runs batted in.

However, his team did not do much to back him up. Toronto could only muster up 74 wins this past season, which put them at the bottom of the American League East.

Despite missing the postseason, Vladdy is enjoying his offseason in style. He recently posted a picture on his Instagram story of him relaxing in a body of water in nature.

As you can see, Vladdy is quite toned. There is a reason that he can launch baseball deep into the stands with relative ease. He has worked hard to stay in peak physical shape, and it shows here.

The Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. came to terms on a new contract to avoid arbitration. The slugger will earn $28.5 million in 2025. It is not far off of what Juan Soto agreed to last season with the New York Yankees.

This could be the slugger’s last contract with Toronto. He is set to become a free agent following the end of the 2025 season and plenty of teams would be after him.

Vladdy has stated that the club has offered him a contract extension near the $340 million range, but that was below his asking price. He wants to be paid for the star that he is.

It will be interesting to see if Toronto can reach an extension with its star. He would be a hard one to lose in free agency if it reaches that point.
