Marcus Jordan, son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, was arrested on Monday for driving under the influence, cocaine possession, and resisting arrest. The incident took place in Orlando, Florida, where law enforcement booked him into the Orange County Jail.
A newly released police video obtained by TMZ Sports shows Marcus Jordan attempting to use his father’s name to avoid arrest. In the body camera of the cops, he pleaded with officers.

“Bro. I’m Marcus Jordan, I’m Michael Jordan’s son,” Marcus said. “I’m not doing anything wrong. I’m just trying to get home. And I made a wrong turn. OK?“
The incident began when Maitland police found a blue Lamborghini stuck on railroad tracks near Greenwood Drive and Mechanic Street. Reports indicate that the vehicle had previously fled from Seminole County Sheriff’s deputies. However, Maitland police stated that they did not participate in the pursuit.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers walked Jordan away from the car and conducted a series of field sobriety tests. He failed these tests, which led to his arrest on DUI and drug-related charges.
**Marcus Jordan Resists Arrest But Secures Release on Bail**
Marcus Jordan, the son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, found himself in legal trouble once again, and this time, police reports suggest he was anything but cooperative. According to authorities, the 34-year-old resisted arrest, refusing to comply with officers’ commands and even physically obstructing them from completing their duties. The incident has drawn widespread attention, largely due to his connection to one of the most iconic athletes in history.
Police reports detail that Marcus was stopped after officers noticed suspicious behavior. When they attempted to search him, he reportedly refused to comply and even used his leg to prevent them from closing the squad car door. His resistance did not go unnoticed, as officers noted his uncooperative attitude throughout the process.
One of the arresting officers provided a detailed account of the situation in the official report. “I stood at the window and immediately detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the vehicle,” the officer wrote. “The defendant kept saying he made a wrong turn and needed assistance getting his vehicle off the railroad tracks. I noticed the driver had slurred speech, and he was confused where he was located. I noticed the driver had red, bloodshot, and glassy eyes.”
The officer’s observations painted a picture of someone who appeared to be under the influence, which only compounded Marcus’ legal troubles. Despite his resistance, he was eventually taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses, including resisting an officer without violence. Reports also indicate that he was found in possession of cocaine, further escalating the seriousness of the charges.
However, Marcus did not remain behind bars for long. Within a few hours of his arrest, he was able to post bail and secure his release. While the exact amount of bail posted was not disclosed, his swift release underscores the privileges often afforded to those with financial means.
Although Michael Jordan himself had no involvement in the incident, his son’s legal troubles have once again put the family name in the headlines for all the wrong reasons. Marcus, who has often been in the public eye due to his high-profile relationship with Larsa Pippen—the ex-wife of Scottie Pippen, his father’s former teammate—now finds himself making news for a far less glamorous reason.
As the second-eldest child of the basketball icon, Marcus has long tried to establish his own identity outside of his father’s shadow, running the sneaker boutique *Trophy Room* and engaging in various business ventures. However, this latest controversy threatens to overshadow his entrepreneurial efforts, further cementing his reputation for making headlines in ways his father never did.
While it remains to be seen how Marcus will handle the fallout from this arrest, one thing is certain: being Michael Jordan’s son does not exempt him from legal consequences. Whether this will serve as a wake-up call for him or simply be another chapter in a growing list of public missteps is something only time will tell.
