The Boston Celtics are enjoying quite an impressive run this year in the NBA. Being second-seeded, the Eastern Conference team shows no signs of struggle. However, looking closely at their recent form, there is just a tad bit of a hint about the Celtics going down a downward slope.
The Celtics have lost 4 out of their last six games. While it might not be that much of an issue, teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks are slowly breaking away. With just two games in the win column, the Celtics’ sorry phase continued with a 114-123 defeat at the hands of the Indiana Pacers. And this is where Jaylen Brown wants to correct things. “We gotta emphasize that we gotta get back to emphasizing the defensive side of the ball, it’s kind of slipped over the last few games, our intensity. And teams are pressuring us, they’re being physical with us, we gotta do some of the same stuff back to them,” Brown said as per Celtics on CLNS.
Brown was once again the star for the Celtics. Putting up a fabulous performance, the 28-year-old notched up 31 points. Unfortunately, that was not enough for the Celtics to get over the line. Meanwhile, Brown has been putting up some excellent shows throughout the season. Recently, he riled up the community with his ‘throat slash’ celebration.
Jaylen Brown Gets Boston Celtics Bench Excited With Unique Celebration
During early December, the Boston Celtics secured a 130-120 victory at the TD Garden. And once again, Jaylen Brown was the star performer of the green team. However, the season’s highlight was Brown’s thunderous dunk over Isaiah Stewart. Running in with full steam, Brown made a soaring jump and completed a double-handed dunk, followed by a throat-slashing gesture.
Such a play riled up the bench as the Celtics’ reserves looked visibly thrilled. Brown ended the game with 28 points, nine assists, and six rebounds to continue his reign of dominance in the NBA. Thus, with things looking a little worrying, Jaylen Brown seems to be unwilling to let even the slightest of slip-ups happen.
