SAWEETIE WAS ‘CAUGHT OFF GUARD’ BY USHER’S MID-SHOW SERENADE

Saweetie has opened up about being on the receiving end of a mid-show serenade from Usher during his Vegas residency, admitting that it threw her for a loop and she wasn’t ready for it.

In an interview with the Justin Credible podcast shared on Thursday (July 27), Saweetie said she was “caught off guard” by the R&B star’s swooning — which is something he’s been doing a lot with numerous notable women in recent months — as he sang “There Goes My Baby” to her earlier this month.

“Since I’ve been in the studio, I don’t be online, so I didn’t even know he did stuff like that,” Saweetie admitted. “So my honest response was I was caught off guard. I was like, ‘Ok, what we doing?’”

As for Saweetie and her new beau YG, the couple will soon hit the road with Tyga as part of their upcoming Str8 to the Klub Tour, which begins in the fall.

The 14-date run kicks off on September 21 in Sacramento and wraps up on November 21 in Los Angeles, with stops in cities such as San Francisco, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Dallas and San Diego along the way.

Kamiyah, Wallie The Sensei, and DJ Vision will serve as openers on the tour,  and on Friday (July 28), YG, Saweetie and Tyga all linked up for the new song “BIRTHDAY” to commemorate the new partnership. TMZ also previously reported that YG and Saweetie are “actively working on new music together, possibly even an EP, and will even be dropping a new video soon.”

The pair have dropped two singles together in recent months with “Platinum” and the Blxst-assisted “West Coast Weekend.” YG and Tyga are also rumored to be working on a joint album together.
