The controversy happened when the cast, which includes Salman Khan, Tabu, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam Kothari, and Sonali Bendre were shooting for the film in Rajasthan. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Mahesh Thakur said that whatever happened back then, it was not a good experience. The Shararat actor also revealed that Salman was with the cops for an entire night.

“We were filming a song when the cops showed up on set, picked up everybody and took them to the station. Neither me, Mohnish Bahl nor Karisma Kapoor was involved. We three were not involved. Only the five of them. It was not a good thing what we saw and experienced. But thankfully, all that is in the past now, and we have moved on. The women were let go, but I think Salman Bhai was there overnight with the cops. Then his family came–Arbaaz and Sohail. Salman was okay the next day. He is a cool dude; he was fine. Even Saif,” said the actor.

Further, Mahesh Thakur said that everything was ambiguous, and the media blew up the case. The HSSH actor added that people were hyping up the case, and the press enjoyed it because Salman and Saif’s name were involved. Thakur said that the media fed a lot of negativity. When the Blackbuck incident happened, the team had to cancel the Jodhpur schedule. However, everything was normal when they resumed the shoot a few days later.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan was last seen in Tiger 3, alongside Katrina Kaif. Recent reports suggest that Khan’s film Bull, which Karan Johar was supposed to produce, is now shelved. The actor will be next seen in YRF’s Tiger V Pathaan, which might release in 2026.
