Russell Westbrook gets into several verbal altercations with NBA fans every single year. It’s almost expected for him to do so.
The latest incident came when the Los Angeles Clippers took on the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Los Angeles Clippers guard heard a fan heckling him from the crowd during a warmup on Sunday so he decided to fire back by inviting that fan to come say it to his face.
The fan actually made his way to the court and said before security stepped in.
“Better sit ya ass down. I ain’t the one. I’m not the one,” Westbrook said to the fan.
It’s not unusual to see NBA players and fans jawing at each other but it is definitely more common to see Westbrook doing it.
The Timberwolves defeated the Clippers on Sunday, 109-105.
Westbrook had a double-double as he scored 12 points and added 13 assists for his club. He finished two rebounds shy of a triple-double. The veteran guard is averaging 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists a game this season.
The Clippers next play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday as they try and improve on their 25-14 record.
