Emma Watson Set to Return in Harry Potter Reboot, But Will She Leave Her Hatred for J.K. Rowling Behind? Fans Will Be Stunned by the Truth
Since making her debut alongside Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint, Emma Watson has become a critically acclaimed actress in Hollywood. While almost half of her movie credits include the Harry Potter franchise, she has also proved herself to be a wonderful actress with a number of versatile performances. But she has kept her distance from the silver screen for the past few years following her last appearance in the 2019 film Little Women.

Emma Watson Was Approached For a Harry Potter Project
The original Harry Potter franchise started with the 2001 film The Philosopher’s Stone and concluded a decade later with The Deathly Hallows – Part 2. However, after the 2011 film, Warner Bros. was planning to work on a ninth movie in the film series titled Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.

Adapted from a theatre play of the same name, the studio was looking forward to making a theatrical movie with the original cast of the film series, including Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint. Reports even claimed that the actress was approached for the project but she declined the offer as she did not want to work alongside JK Rowling following her transphobic comments.
Rowling has been a controversial figure since she publicly shared her thoughts about the trans community. Watson has been among some of the cast members who have spoken against the author and has been supportive of the community.

She has also reportedly distanced herself from the Harry Potter author and has decided not to work with her again. This is believed to be the reason Watson did not want to return to the franchise with Harry Potter and The Cursed Child.

Is Emma Watson Returning to the Harry Potter Reboot?
Emma Watson has gained worldwide recognition starring in the Harry Potter franchise. The character has become so iconic that fans across the world still recognize the actress as Hermoine Granger, who was last seen in the 2011 film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

With the studio moving ahead with a Harry Potter reboot on Max, fans have been curious if the original cast of the movie would be associated with the new TV series. The series would continue for multiple seasons based on each book under J.K. Rowling’s novel series.
It is also revealed that the show will feature a whole new cast, suggesting that the original cast of the fantasy adventure franchise might not return to the series. While some reports claim that the studio has already cast new actors, others have also said that the studio is planning to make the reboot more diverse by casting a person of color as Hermoine Granger.
The studio has not announced the release date for the Harry Potter reboot yet.
