Leon Draisaitl rounds up year 2024 with special moments ft. engagement photos, Connor McDavid’s wedding and more [via IG/@drat_29]

Edmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl has had a memorable 2024. From getting engaged to his longtime partner Celeste Desjardins to signing an eight-year extension with the Oilers, Draisaitl had several highlight moments.

On Wednesday, Draisaitl shared pictures on his Instagram rounding up the special memories of 2024. The first image featured a black and white shot of Celeste and Leon embracing on the beach of Mallorca where he proposed to her in July.

The next picture saw Draisaitl and the Oilers celebrating after a win in a packed Rogers Place.

Leon also shared a click from the NHL All-Star game where he stood between Connor McDavid and Will Arnett. Another picture had Draisalt and Desjardins sharing an intimate moment during Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle’s wedding afterparty in late July.

One of the photos featured a casual gathering with Jiri Porner where they sat down together for drinks. Draisaitl closed the carousel with a selfie taken with Celeste Desjardins and his sister Kim Draisaitl.

Earlier this week, Celeste Desjardins also shared photos on Instagram, a compilation of her memorable moments from 2024. One photo showed a lively moment from Connor McDavid and Lauren Kyle’s wedding, where Celeste and other ladies were laughing in a tented space.

Another showed Celeste’s sister Chantal relaxing on a sofa in a black outfit with Celeste sitting nearby. A car selfie with her friend Emma was followed by a cozy gathering around an outdoor fire pit with Mikayla Nurse, Alexandra Servos, and Jamie Ceci wrapped in plaid blankets.

One of the photos captured a cheerful moment between Celeste and Sandra Draisaitl at a social event, with Celeste wearing a Germany jersey. Celeste also shared a photo of her embracing Kim Draisaitl in a garden and another of her posing with Zach Hyman’s wife Alannah in fur-lined outfits.

Another sweet moment featured Leon Draisaitl kissing Celeste’s cheek while she held a dessert glass during McDavid’s wedding afterparty. She also posted a picture of Liv Hall, Francesca Maroon, and Melinda Karlsson by a lakeside. Another image showed her in a VIP suite with Alannah Hyman and Lauren Kyle during a game.
