We all saw what went on the court between Tyler Herro and Amen Thompson. It has already been a chaotic last leg of the year where someone is getting into a fight with someone. After the Herro-Thompson’s scuffle dust settled a bit, more details are coming out of the altercation.
A recent audio leak has given fans a front-row seat to the dramatic altercation between Miami Heat’s Herro and Houston Rockets’ Thompson during a nail-biting game. The incident escalated with just 35 seconds left on the clock, when Herro bumped into Thompson, prompting a physical confrontation.
In the audio captured, Thompson can be heard yelling, “What b***h? I’m gonna f**k you up, boy,” as tensions flared. Herro, seemingly unfazed, responded with laughter while taunting Thompson about his team’s struggles, saying, “Take your a** home. You go home, bro. You lost.”
As the confrontation heated up, Thompson pushed Herro to the ground, drawing the attention of players and coaches from both sidelines who quickly rushed to intervene. The melee resulted in a total of six ejections, including Thompson, Herro, and several other key figures from both teams. The fallout raised questions about potential penalties, with the NBA yet to announce any discipline.
Former Houston Rockets Guard Took Shots At Tyler Herro
Maxwell didn’t hold back when reacting to the Heat guard following the heated exchange with Houston’s Thompson. Maxwell jumped onto social media to express his support for Thompson and even playfully offered to cover any fines related to the altercation.
Additionally, he took it a step further by likening Herro to rapper Machine Gun Kelly and suggested that the Heat guard was flailing a bit during the game. Despite the social media buzz and Maxwell’s barbs, Herro simply kept his focus on the court. He delivered a stellar performance the same night netting 27 points and leading the Heat to a 104-100 victory.
All of this came despite Miami’s star Jimmy Butler out from the lineup. Even if the blame for the scuffle be put on him, he has undeniably stepped up this season for the team in times of need.
