It was only recently that Taylor Swift officially became a billionaire — in no small part due to the wild success of her Eras Tour, which wrapped up in December 2024 after nearly two years on the road. But given the magnitude of her career (and the fact that plenty of Swifties have now been singing along with her songs for most of their lives), it’s not surprising at all that she’s been making serious cash for nearly two decades… and in the process, her cats, surprisingly enough, are also raking it in.
How Much Are Taylor Swift’s Cats Worth?
For those who may not know, Taylor is a proud cat mom to three adorable kitties: two Scottish Folds named Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson (after the characters from Grey’s Anatomy and Law & Order: SVU, of course) and a Ragdoll named Benjamin Button, who happens to be the most recent addition to her crew. And since they’re part of Taylor’s empire, they’re technically wealthy, too… in a way.
While there are no net worth estimates out there for Meredith and Benjamin (yet), it may be safe to say that neither of them would struggle keeping themselves in treats and catnip if it came down to it. Benjamin is something of an actor, having appeared in Taylor’s music video for “Me!” (that’s how they met, after all) and he also joined his mom for her iconic Time magazine Person of the Year shoot in 2023.
Meredith is more of a homebody, but she did make headlines back in 2014 when rumors were going around that Taylor’s legs were insured for $40 million. While poking fun at the situation, Taylor shared a picture of a massive scratch that Meredith had inflicted up on her on Instagram, joking, “Great work Meredith. I was just trying to love you and now you owe me 40 million dollars.”
And when it comes to Olivia’s net worth? Well, let’s just say that she has more money than most humans will ever see.
How Much Is Olivia Benson Worth?
The only cat of Taylor’s whose net worth has been estimated to a dollar amount is Olivia, and it’s staggering.
According to a list of the world’s wealthiest pets that was published by Cats.com in 2024, Olivia comes in at number three with a net worth of a whopping $97 million.
So how did she earn it, other than being a nepo kitty? Like her baby brother, Olivia has also made appearances in Taylor’s music videos (like the one for “Blank Space”) as well as her ad campaigns for brands like Diet Coke. Out of everyone in the family, she seems to be the diva! I can’t blame her though — she’s gorgeous.
None of us will ever know the luxury that Taylor’s cats are living in every single day, but I do have to give props to Olivia for managing her money so well. Many cats would have gone broke buying toys shaped like mice by now!
