A pair of hockey fans came to blows on Saturday during a game between the Los Angeles Kings and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Things can get pretty intense on the ice when it comes to the games played in the National Hockey League and sometimes that intensity can spill out into the crowd.
On Saturday night, fans who were in the front rows at Cryptobank.com Arena in Los Angeles got to witness that first hand after a disagreement between a pair of hockey fans turned physical and eventually turned violent.
In a video that is quickly making the rounds on social media, a pair of Los Angeles Kings’ fans can be seen in what at first appears to be a very minor physical altercation. One Kings’ fan appears to be attempting to diffuse a situation by dragging the second Kings’ fan away from the people around them, but that eventually results in the second Kings’ fan falling awkwardly to the ground.
When that fan gets back up to his feet he begins throwing punches at the fan that was trying to drag him away, resulting in that first fan throwing punches right back. At that point the fight is on and the crowd around the two men roars in approval as blows begin to fly, but thankfully security is quickly on hand and shows up to break up the altercation before anyone appears to suffer serious injury.
The thing that made this one a little odd is that both men appear to be fans of the same team, leaving many to wonder what the altercation was all about in the first place. With no information made available just yet, you’ll have to leave that part up to your imagination.
