ESPN Undergoes Major Broadcast Change With The Absence of Molly Qerim On ‘First Take’

Sports fans are saddened this week as they have to find someone else to look at on First Take in the absence of Molly Qerim.

The First Take host announced on Thursday that she would be taking some time off for the holidays. She declared her excitement levels were “15 out of 10” ahead of her yuletide trip to Connecticut.

“This is my last day before vacation,” she said.

“I’m going to be off for a week. I’m gonna go see the family right after the show, I’m so excited.

On Friday, the First Take show looked completely different as Cassidy Hubbarth took charge of the popular sports debate show with Qerim away on Christmas vacation. First Take already looked slightly different with regular lead analyst Stephen A. Smith also absent.

He is currently in Los Angeles shooting scenes for ABC soap General Hospital. Shannon Sharpe took his place on the panel for Thursday and Friday.

Hubbarth began her broadcast career with the Big Ten Network and Fox Sports South.

She graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Cassidy joined ESPN in August 2010 as a studio anchor and host for college football, college basketball, and the NBA.

Hubbarth is no stranger to hosting First Take so this will be a piece of cake for her.
