Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour movie is officially here! If you weren’t able to attend the show or haven’t gone yet (she’s still got some dates left, after all), it’s the perfect time to immerse yourself in all things Swiftian. However, just like book-to-film adaptations, the Eras Tour movie isn’t exactly like the live Eras Tour for a few specific reasons.
For one, the movie is a little bit shorter than the tour; the tour is over three hours long, given that Swift is revisiting all of her musical eras in some form, and the movie is about two hours and 45 minutes. That means that not all of the songs are included, and there are a few other tweaks that you’ll want to look out for when you settle into your comfy theater seat.
Here’s what to know about the Eras tour movie, including where to watch.
Which songs were cut from the Eras tour movie?
Nearly three hours is a long time to sit in a movie theater, even if it’s watching your favorite artist perform on the big screen. As noted by People, much of the film was shot during Swift’s six-night run in Los Angeles, so a handful of songs she played during those dates didn’t make it in. You won’t see “The Archer” from Lover, the Haim duet “No Body, No Crime” and “’Tis the Damn Season” from evermore, “Long Live” from Speak Now, “Nothing New” from Red, “Wildest Dreams” from 1989 or “Cardigan” and “Invisible String” from folklore.
A few interludes were also cut from the show, likely because they were onstage transitions to shift from era to era. However, a few of them — including the Reputation snake — did make the cut.
Did any surprise songs make it in?
Swift played two surprise songs during each stop of the tour, and some of them did make the cut in the film. Swift played “Maroon” and “You’re On Your Own, Kid” from Midnights, “Our Song” from her debut, “You Are In Love” from 1989, “Death by a Thousand Cuts” from Lover, and “I Can See You” from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) during her L.A. stops. However, only “Our Song” and “You’re On Your Own, Kid” appear in the movie.

What else should I know about the Eras tour movie?
It’s a pretty faithful interpretation of the show despite the cuts, and it’s basically like sitting in the prime section of the venue, except that you have popcorn and a themed cup. “The main thing we’re trying to do is provide the theatrical audience with the best seat in the house,” John Ross, the rerecording mixer on The Eras tour movie, told the New York Times. “If you were to attend a concert and get the premium seat, that’s my job, to convey that image sonically and situationally.”
The New York Times also reports that there are no bonus features, unlike several of Swift’s prior tour movies.
Where can I watch the Eras tour movie?
If you don’t already have tickets, you might want to start shopping. The movie has already sold over $100 million in advance ticket sales, which is wild.
Every AMC theater in the United States will show the concert film about four times per day on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The movie will also be available in Canada and Mexico. Tickets are available via AMC, Cinemark, Regal, and Fandango and retail for $19.89 for adults and $13.13 for kids.
