Eminem’s ex-wife, Kim Scott Mathers, was pictured for the first time in four years since her stint in rehab and suicide attempt in 2021 during an outing in Shelby Township, Michigan earlier this month.

The 48-year-old, who notably was ‘hospitalized after a suicide attempt’ following her mother’s passing, was seen running errands and stopped by a pizza chain before heading to her next destination.

Kim sported a blonde, pixie cut and showcased an array of tattoos on her arms whole wearing a black tank top and ripped jeans.

According to The U.S. Sun, she expressed that she was doing ‘good’ after going through a difficult time after experiencing the loss of family members – such as her own mother and twin sister, Dawn.

‘It’s been hard, I lost my mom, my dad, and my sister [over the past 10 years],’ Mathers stated. ‘[But] I’m good. I’ve been clean since about October, I went to Jefferson House…for 45 days.’

Before the star’s errand run, Kim was also spotted a few days prior loading items into a vehicle outside of her home while donning a light blue, backless pantsuit that was made of a denim material.

She also explained that her children have been ‘very supportive’ of her as she focused on her health and stated that she was ‘now on medication.’

Back on July 30, 2021, Kim attempted suicide and was hospitalized after medics responded to a frantic 911 call from her Michigan home, TMZ reported at the time.

Upon arriving to the house, first responders found Mathers to be ‘combative and violent’ and also had ‘several small lacerations on the back of her leg,’ the outlet further reported.

According to a police report, obtained by Page Six at the time, Kim had been found ‘bleeding excessively’ and was on the bathroom floor holding an ‘unidentified object’ in her hands.

The report claimed that she had ‘attempted to strike the responding officer’ and added Mathers appeared to have ‘difficulty speaking, was slurring her speech and later fluctuated in various levels of consciousness.’

A box was also discovered that contained ‘haphazard messages’ that Kim had penned to family members. Also inside was a ‘do not resuscitate’ request that she had also written out.

The Sun reported shortly after the attempt that Kim had ‘left a note’ and begged for the police to not be called.

In audio obtained by the outlet, an unidentified woman could be heard telling a dispatcher that Mathers had attempted to harm herself after taking pills.

When asked how Kim had tried to harm herself, the caller stated, ‘I don’t know I just ran out, I have someone in there with her. There’s blood everywhere on the bathroom floor.’

She later could be heard saying, ‘She had the door locked and she wouldn’t let me in. And I kept telling her, “I’m coming in, I’m coming in.” And she was laying on the floor saying, “Don’t call the police, don’t call the police.”‘

TMZ had claimed Kim was taken to a hospital to undergo both a medical and psychological evaluation, but was sent home to recover.

The suicide attempt came only days after her mother, Kathy Sluck had passed away at the age of 65 on July 23, 2021. The following day, on an online obituary site, a tribute posted by Kim Mathers was shared where she expressed pain over the loss.

‘I don’t even know where to begin mom!!! First off I’d like to say I F***ING LIED TO YOU WHEN I SAID I WOULD BE OK….I LIED WHEN I SAID I CAN DO THIS I PROMISE!!!!’

‘F***in f**k all!!! I don’t even know how to do this without you I just wanted you to not hurt or suffer or fight for me anymore!!! But I’m sure you know that!!! You’ve been the support and back bone for me and my kids and I can’t thank you enough.’

‘You’ve taught me how to be a fighter and not take s**t and tried to teach me to love myself as much as you loved me!! You’ve be there for every fall I’ve had and BOY WAS THERE A LOT!!!’

In October 2015, she intentionally drove her Cadillac SUV into a telephone pole after consuming both alcohol and prescription pills. ‘It was intentional,’ Kim admitted on Detroit’s Channel 995 radio show Mojo in the Morning.

‘I never expected to make it out alive,’ the star continued, and added that she had ‘been clean for 10 years.’

She later recalled, ‘I sat at the end of a road where I knew that no one else but myself would get hurt. Yes I drank, yes I took pills and I hit the gas and aimed for a pole.’

In January 2016, Kim lost her twin sister, Dawn, who tragically passed away after a heroin overdose at the age of 41.

The pair later tied the knot for a second time in January 2006, however, Eminem filed for divorce just four months later in April.

He notably adopted the daughter of Kim’s late sister, Alaina, 30, in the early 2000s and even walked her down the aisle when she married in June of this year.

Hailie Jade notably became engaged to Evan McClintok earlier this year in February and per The U.S. Sun, Kim confirmed that she plans to attend the nuptials.

‘Yes, of course,’ she stated when asked if she would attend, explaining that she is ‘close’ with her children.

Kim revealed that she is also in contact with Eminem and in regards to how often they see each other, she replied, ‘Not often, but often enough!’
