All of Detroit was in celebration on Sunday after their Lions clinched a playoff berth and the NFC North title for the first time in three decades.

An excited Eminem (born Marshall Mathers) was one of those in celebration – and he put out a hilarious double-tweet in the aftermath of the Lions’ 30-24 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

‘@Lions I did it!!!!!,’ Mathers tweeted out on Sunday before almost instantly correcting himself in a reply.

‘WE did it dammit still figuring out how to use this thing,’ the rapper corrected himself.

Despite having his Twitter account since March of 2009, Eminem can be forgiven for his excited posting.

Ifeatu Melifonwu (6) snagged a game-winning interception to clinch the division title

The Lions haven’t made the playoffs – let alone won the division – since 2016 when the team earned a Wild Card berth.

Those playoffs ended in heartbreak as they lost 26-6 to the Seattle Seahawks on the road. Seattle would lose to Atlanta the following week and would watch the Falcons march all the way to that year’s Super Bowl.

But their drought of division titles lasted exactly three decades – with the last Lions team to take the NFC North coming all the way back in 1993.

Those Lions boasted the likes of Barry Sanders, but the star running back had the worst season of his career and his season ended early due to a torn MCL and PCL.

That team finished similarly to the 2016 team. The ’93 Lions hosted the division-rival Green Bay Packers at the old Pontiac Silverdome and lost 28-24 in the Wild Card round.

Detroit was leading 30-24 in the dying seconds before third-year cornerback Ifeatu Melifonwu snagged a game-clinching interception at the five-yard-line to seal the win for the Lions.

They play at the Cowboys next Saturday before ending their season at home against the Vikings once again.
