Kansas City Chiefs, your move.
Drew Barrymore is a mastermind — at least when it comes to theoretically getting Taylor Swift all the way from Japan to Las Vegas in time to see Travis Kelce play the Super Bowl.
The Fever Pitch star brought out a whiteboard during Thursday’s episode of her eponymous talk show to prove how the “You Belong With Me” singer could travel from the Tokyo Dome stop of her Eras Tour to the big game – that is, if Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, makes it to the postseason.

“What if Travis did go to the Super Bowl?” Barrymore asked. “Okay, so it turns out Taylor Swift is doing a show in Tokyo on February 10. The Super Bowl is February 11.”
“So if she left Tokyo at midnight…” Barrymore continued with a wink, referencing Swift’s 10th studio album. “The flight time is 11 hours and 35 minutes approximately from Tokyo to Vegas, so she might arrive at 10:30 p.m., but on February 10, leaving her a full night’s sleep. So she really could make it to the Super Bowl if — just if — it happens to come true.”
Barrymore even picked out a $4,000-plus seat for Swift should she choose to fly commercial for the trip. “I checked to see if there’s a flight and there is,” she said. “Leaving Tokyo at 12:50 p.m. at Haneda Airport, which then gets her in at 5:50 to LAX [Los Angeles International Airport]. And then that’s just a quick hop from LAX, so it’s possible. But no pressure!”
Ross Mathews, who serves as co-anchor of the show’s “Drew’s News” segment, seemed stunned by Barrymore’s dedication to getting Swift to the 50-yard line.
Said Mathews, “I am so impressed… and also… get a life.”
Barrymore laughed as she agreed, but she maintained that Swift is “worth it.”
“Yes, you need to get a life and yes, she’s worth it,” Mathews replied. “I think, truly, not to be totally hippie-dippie about it, but she kind of is the soundtrack to our lives right now. She’s that kind of artist. They come around every once in a while. We’re growing up with her, we’re rooting for her, we’re relating to her, and she’s just telling all of our stories. I mean, we don’t all end up with the star football player — you do, Taylor — but we’re rooting, I think.”
“I love her,” Barrymore said. “I love her for girls. I love her for women. I think men love her. I’m just — I’m in.”
