Amar Singh Chamkila was the theme of Amul’s latest topical, featuring Diljit Dosanjh as Amar Singh Chamila donning a blue kurta pyjama and Parineeti Chopra as Amarjot donning a floral suit. The topical shows the couple holding bread and butter in their hands and singing in front of a mike.

Helmed by Imtiaz Ali Khan, Amar Singh Chamkila tells the story of Punjab’s original rockstar, who rose from poverty to become a music sensation in the 80s. The film portrays the controversies that surrounded him and his tragic assassination.

While sharing the Amul Topical on Instagram, the brand wrote, “#Amul Topical: Diljit Dosanjh makes waves in the Imtiaz Ali/AR Rahman hit musical drama, Amar Singh Chamkila.” Check it out below!

In the comment section, netizens praised the Imtiaz Ali directorial and praised Amul for the collab.

Diljit made his Hindi film debut in 2016 with Udta Punjab. He played the role of Sartaaj Singh. He has also played lead roles in films like Soorma, Good Newwz, Jogi, and Crew. His last two releases, Crew and Amar Singh Chamkila, have received critical acclaim and love from fans.

Parineeti, on the other hand, made her acting debut in 2011 in Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. In 2023, she played Nirdosh Kaur Gill in Mission Raniganj. On the personal front, she tied the knot with AAP leader Raghav Chadha in September 2023.
