Crew made a fantastic opening, not only in India but at the worldwide box office. Starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu, it was released on March 29, 2024. Fans would be elated to hear that the heist comedy surpassed the opening numbers of Hrithik Roshan led Fighter. Scroll below for a detailed analysis.

The film, led by three power-packed actresses, turned out to be a huge surprise at the box office. The first two days brought in massive collections of 41.13 crores gross at the worldwide box office. It is now inching towards the 50 crore mark, a feat expected to be crossed today.
Crew vs Fighter Box Office Day 1 (Overseas)
As per Nishit Shaw, Fighter was the first film of 2024 to have crossed the $1 million mark in the international markets. Hrithik Roshan starrer brought in $565K from the US box office and $180K from Australia. New Zealand ($28K) and the UK ($125K) were the two other main markets. Another $200K was added from other overseas circuits.
The total overseas earnings of Fighter stood at $1.10 million on the opening day. On the other hand, Crew earned a whopping $1.17 million from the international circuits. The key markets were the US ($600K), Australia ($115K), New Zealand ($30K), UK ($90K) while the remaining $80K came from other markets.
The key differentiation was the Gulf. While Kareena Kapoor Khan‘s film added $255K, Hrithik Roshan led Fighter was not released there. Another factor that may have hampered the collection of Siddharth Anand directorial is the fact that it was released on Thursday (January 25, 2024).
All in all, this women-led film has broken a major record while also becoming the second Bollywood film of 2024 to achieve the $1 million mark overseas on its opening day.
Congratulations to the Crew gang!
