Golden State Warriors point guard Chris Paul is taking some heat from fans after a coming together with Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Mike Conley.
The T-Wolves defeated the Dubs 166-110 on Sunday in a game featuring a key matchup between the aforementioned veteran PGs, and one of them could have suffered a serious injury.
Paul was diving to the floor for a loose ball following a tangle-up between Kevon Looney and Karl-Anthony Towns when he crashed into Conley’s knees in what appeared to be a deliberate act.
Fans have been slamming him online as they reckon he knew exactly what he was doing. You can check some of their reactions out right below:
While there’s no way of really knowing whether CP3 did this on purpose, he could have definitely secured the ball without hitting Conley.
On another night, the collision could have led to a serious injury. But Conley was fortunate enough to escape with just a foul. Yes… the refs actually called a foul on him and not Paul.
