Chris Brown recently held a meet-and-greet with fans, and if you wanted to take a photo with the singer, you had to cough up a cool $1,000.
While it seems Brown made fast and easy cash, he got blasted on social media.
One person on Twitter posted, “So women are paying $1,000 to take pictures with Chris Brown? What [a] waste of hard-earned money. Some of you been brainwashed and don’t realize it.”

“Chris brown would’ve had to escort me out cause For $1000 boy we finna take this picture naked,” tweeted internet comedian K’Hood.
Several celebrities defended Brown, such as rapper Yung Bleu.
“$1,000 for a lifelong memory/moment ain’t bad,” Bleu tweeted. “Y’all ain’t gone have no memories when y’all get old only thing y’all gone remember is paying bills.”
Besides posing for pics, Brown is also making money on stage — he’s currently on tour with Lil Baby through October.

Another one of his money-making ventures, however, has been fairing well. Earlier this month, he debuted an NFT collection called Breezyverse. The problem is not too many people are buying it.
Perhaps Brown thought he’d have the same success as Snoop Dogg did when he dropped “Stash Box” NFTs in February, and he sold over $44 million worth of limited edition NFTs in just five days. In all, Snoop was selling 25,000 NFTs and in each “Stash Box” was 1 of 17 songs from his latest album, “Bacc On Death Row.” Each box sold for $5,000. In less than a week, Snoop sold more than 8,000 Stash Box NFTs via the Gala Music store, which bills itself as “the first decentralized record company.”
Brown hasn’t been as successful with Breezyverse, a set of 10,000 NFTs which went on sale July 1. Each of his NFTs is an animation of singer Brown posing like a superhero atop a structure, but each is different. In one, Brown is made of “gold,” in another there is a moon pictured behind him.
As of July 18, only 299 — or 3 percent of the collection — Breezyverse NFTs sold, Digital Music News reported. The NTFs go for .35 ether each, which is about $440. They also come with perks such as VIP concert tickets and meet and greets with Brown.
