The Mac Jones era in New England is officially over. And it was not a very long one.

According to reports, the Patriots are set to trade the former starting quarterback to the Jacksonville Jaguars. In return, the Pats will receive a late round pick.

According to Ian Rapoport, the Patriots had four teams who were interested in their first round pick from 2021. In the end, it was the Jags who got him.

Jones will now look to resurrect his career as a backup to 2021 first overall pick Trevor Lawrence. Jones was selected with the 15th overall pick in the same draft.
