Internet rumors blew up earlier this week surrounding Oklahoma City Thunder star Josh Giddey, to a point where the NBA is now reportedly involved.
The league is said to be looking into allegations that the 21-year-old is in an inappropriate relationship with a minor.
Photos surfaced of what appeared to be Giddey hugging a female from behind, and another one with a caption that read “just f—ed josh giddey.” Many other posts suggest that the young girl is a 15-year-old in high school. A name has been given as well.
You would hope that her parents are looking through her phone as we speak.
The 21-year-old was made available to reporters at Oklahoma City’s practice on Friday, but when asked about the recent accusations, he didn’t offer an explanation.
He then repeated the same answer when pressed again about it.
“I get the question guys, I completely understand you guys want to know about it but just for right now, I don’t have anything to say,” he said.
Giddey is 15 games into his third NBA season as he was drafted to Oklahoma City with the No. 6 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft.
The Thunder, 11-4, currently sit in second place in the Western Conference.
As of right now, it seems he will be on the floor when the team host the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
