BREAKING: Golden State Warriors Coach Tragically Passes Away After Suffering Heart Attack At Team Dinner

The Golden State Warriors have announced the passing of assistant coach Dejan Milojevic following his hospitalization on Tuesday night.

Milojecivc, who had been with the Warriors since 2021, was at a team dinner with players and other coaches in Salt Lake City, Utah when he suffered a heart attack and was rushed to a local hospital, according to previous reports.

The Warriors have since disclosed that Milojevic, who was 46, has sadly passed away.

“We are absolutely devastated by Dejan’s sudden passing,” head coach Steve Kerr said in a statement. “This is a shocking and tragic blow for everyone associated with the Warriors and an incredibly difficult time for his family, friends, and all of us who had the incredible pleasure to work with him.

“In addition to being a terrific basketball coach, Dejan was one of the most positive and beautiful human beings I have ever known, someone who brought joy and light to every single day with his passion and energy. We grieve with and for his wife, Natasa, and their children, Nikola and Masa. Their loss is unfathomable.”

The Warriors were scheduled to play the Utah Jazz this Wednesday but the game has been postponed.
