Arti Singh looks elegant in neon green lehenga at her Sangeet.
Former Bigg Boss contestant Arti Singh couldn’t contain her excitement as she danced her heart out at her Sangeet ceremony on Tuesday night in Mumbai. Arti is all set to tie the knot with her fiancé Dipak Chauhan, a businessman based in Navi Mumbai, on April 25, 2024. The wedding ceremony will take place at ISKCON temple.
The couple hosted a grand Sangeet ceremony last night and several TV celebrities including Ankita Lokhande and husband Vicky Jain, Mahira Sharma, Yuvika Chaudhary and Bharti Singh among others, attended the function. Multiple videos from the ceremony have made their way to social media, and fans can’t stop drooling over Arti’s pre-wedding festivities. In a video, shared by paparazzo Viral Bhayani on Instagram, Arti can be seen cutting a massive three tier cake with Dipak. In another video, Arti, her actor-brother Krushna Abhishek and sister-in-law Kashmera Shah are seen distributing sweets to the paps and greeting them with folded hands.
However, Arti’s uncle and actor, Govinda, skipped the ceremony. In her recent interview, Arti had said that Govinda would be attending her wedding. “This wedding is going to be full of love because the entire family will come under one roof. They all will be there to bless me. Govinda mama, is very happy seeing me happy. I just know that he’s (Govinda) coming to give his blessings to me and I’m very happy about it. He’s was very happy. He’s my Chi Chi mama he was very happy,” Arti told Times of India.com. While Govinda has given the Sangeet a miss, fans are hopeful that he would be there at his niece’s D-day.
In 2018, Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja had called out Kashmera Shah for her tweet about some “people who dance for money.” Sunita had alleged that Kashmera was referring to Govinda, and the couple decided to cut off ties with the two. Krushna had later clarified that it was meant for his sister Arti Singh, but it didn’t change anything. The whole fiasco resulted in a public fallout between the two families.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Kashmera made a request to Govinda to attend Arti’s wedding. “He might have been angry at us, but he is not angry at Arti. And it is not Krushna’s wedding. If he had not come to our wedding, we would have understood as he is upset with us. But it is Arti and she really wants him there. I would request him to come as it is Arti, and not take our anger out on her,” Kashmera told HT.
