Aamir Khan files FIR against fake political ad; says he’s never endorsed any political party

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is extremely upset that fake videos and ads featuring him promoting a political party are doing rounds on social media. To stop the circulation of these fake political ads, the actor and his team are taking stringent actions and filing complaints.
In a recent statement shared with the media, the actor’s team clarified that he has never endorsed any political party in the past and that his team are constantly tracking social media to report the culprits to concerned authorities.
“We want to clarify that Mr Aamir Khan has never endorsed any political party throughout his 35-year career. He has dedicated his efforts to raising public awareness through Election Commission public awareness campaigns for many past elections. We are alarmed by the recent viral video alleging that Aamir Khan is promoting a particular political party. He would like to clarify that this is a fake video and totally untrue,” read the statement.

“He has reported the matter to various authorities related to this issue, including filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police. Mr Khan would like to urge all Indians to come out and vote and be an active part of our electoral process,” the statement added.

On the work front, Aamir is currently working on his next, Sitaare Zameen Par, scheduled to hit theatres on Christmas this year.

Aamir recently also produced Laapataa Ladies, a comedy-drama directed by his ex-wife Kiran Rao. The film stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Ravi Kishan among others.

Coming to the personal front, Aamir’s daughter Ira Khan recently exchanged wedding vows with fitness coach Nupur Shikhare.
