Yankees legend Derek Jeter and his wife Hannah have announced the arrival of their fourth child and first son, Kaius Green, to the world, as they now expand their family of five to six.
‘Welcome to the world lil man!!! @hannahbjeter,’ shared the five-time World Series champion on Instagram on Monday along with his newborn’s birth date — 5-5-23.
The 14-time All-Star shortstop then changed his Instagram bio to ‘sleep-deprived father of four’, reminding Yankees fans of their starvation for success since he hung up his glove in 2014.
New York has not been able to bring back the Commissioner’s Trophy since 2009, when Jeter was 34 years old and still playing.
The 48-year-old and Hannah, 33, met in 2012, four years before going on to marry and two years after the legendary Yankees No. 2 retired from pro baseball.
The model once admitted that she didn’t know much about her husband back when they first set eyes on each other and that she initially thought he was a pitcher.
Here, DailyMail.com takes a look at the Jeter family.

How did they meet?
In 2012, Hannah bumped into Derek and his friends while she was at a restaurant in New York City with her mother, according to People. It turned out that the pair had a mutual friend who introduced them during the serendipitous moment.
Hannah later admitted that she barely knew about Derek’s game and extensive list of accomplishments with the Yankees.
‘I thought he was a pitcher. I know it sounds strange that I didn’t know he was a shortstop,’ she wrote in The Players’ Tribune, which was founded by her husband. ‘I can just imagine all of the New Yorkers reading this right now thinking, ”Oh, come aawwnn.” They probably don’t believe me. You probably don’t believe me. But it’s true.’
The meeting couldn’t have happened at a better and unpredictable time for both Hannah and Derek. The latter met his future spouse during the off-season, 11 years ago, while the former virtually didn’t know anything about her match.
‘We met at the right time. To me, what matters in a relationship is being at the same place in your lives. And right from the start, I could tell that the timing of Derek’s life and mine were aligned,’ she added.

What does Hannah do?
Derek’s wife of 11 years, Hannah (born Davis), was born in the US Virgin Islands in 1990. She is 16 years younger than her husband, who started his MLB career with the Yankees when she was about five years old.
At only 16, Hannah started modeling and quickly made an impression on agencies all around the US, as she first appeared for Polo Ralph Lauren during her teenage years in a 2006 campaign. She rose to stardom after becoming the primary model for Ralph Rocks, a Ralph Lauren fragrance.
Hannah went on to broaden her horizons in the modeling world for several global brands, primarily Sports Illustrated, but also Tommy Hilfiger and American Eagle.
Other than being pleasing to the eye, she is believed to be so good at tennis that she even briefly played on the Caribbean national tennis team, per Sportskeeda.
Hannah’s net worth is estimated to roughly be $10million and she hasn’t been able to resume her modeling career since becoming a mother.

When did they have their kids?
After getting engaged in November 2015 before having a lavish wedding at a Napa Valley resort in St. Helena, California, eight months later (in July 2016), according to People, the couple announced that they were expecting their first baby together in February 2017, not having a name in mind either.
In August 2017, Hannah and Derek confirmed the arrival of their first daughter, Bella Raine, in a tweet from The Players’ Tribune. A year and two months later, both lovers teased the arrival of baby No. 2 and, in January 2019, they welcomed daughter Story Grey.
‘Congratulations Derek and Hannah on the birth of your second baby girl, Story Grey Jeter. Welcome to the family, #2,’ a tweet from The Players’ Tribune read.
Four months later, in April 2019, Derek opened up on raising his girls with his wife in Miami, where he was the CEO of the Marlins until 2022, when he sold his 4 percent ownership share in the team.
‘Raising a family in Miami is definitely different than in New York,’ he told Haute Living, a luxury publication. ‘It’s nice because we’re now in our own home and it makes it easy to move around, play in the yard, enjoy the outdoors…We’re enjoying life and raising our family here.’
The couple then secretly welcomed daughter River Rose in December 2021, and less than two years later, they welcomed their first son, Kaius Green, on May 8, 2023. The youngest of the Jeter clan could possibly go down to play in the big league, just like his father, one day, too.

And are they now building their dream house?
In 2021, Jeter was believed to have bought a huge piece of land in the affluent area of Coral Gables – a suburb of Miami – for $16.6million, according to Realtor.com.
The neighborhood is in Miami-Dade County and is one of the best places to live in Florida. The Baseball Hall of Famer reportedly purchased a 2-acre waterfront lot that offers unparalleled views from the largest shoreline piece of land in guard-gated Gables estates.
His newest property will reportedly have a seawall and docks that can handle two mega yachts. Architectural plans will see the Yankees legend live in a 20,000-square-foot custom home.
However, Jets will first need to sell his snazzy Davis Islands seven-bedroom home on a piece of land that’s 1.2 acres.
He listed the estate on the market last year for $29million.
