Ed Sheeran buys luxury London office block for £8.25million in bizarre career move as he expands his £70million investment portfolio
The singer, 33, splashed £8.25million on the piece of prime real estate in the heart of London’s Soho and can now add office manager to his impressive list of career highlights.
The Shape Of You performer can now add the office block to his ever-expanding £70million property portfolio.
The star’s investments include several other properties around London and even abroad.
According to The Sun, a description of the refurbished office space which can seat up to 50 desks, states: ‘The building’s refined design has great natural light across an open-plan arrangement with fitted kitchenette and breakfast bar, bespoke glass phone booths and Crittall-style meeting rooms, all finished to an exquisite quality.’
MailOnline has contacted Ed Sheeran’s reps for comment.
Ed already owns at least 27 properties in London including a large £20million house in Notting Hill and houses in other sought-after areas including Holland Park and Covent Garden.

The star’s investments are held under private companies and don’t even include his large estate in Suffolk where he lives with his wife Cherry and their two daughters.
And his business ventures are not just UK-based, the A Team singer also has a large villa in Italy which comes with its own vineyards.
This is not the first time Ed’s investments have raised eyebrows.
In August the singer-songwriter risked reigniting a bitter feud with his neighbours after he filmed himself leaping into his ‘wildlife pond’ on his £3.7million Suffolk estate.
Ed could be seen on Instagram leaping into the kidney-shaped pool, which was built at his home in 2017 originally on the condition it was not for recreational activities.
Ed claimed the pond was aimed at championing wildlife and built to ‘support nature conservation’.
He later won an appeal which allowed him to swim in the pond, but not before it had sparked a furious backlash from neighbours, who feared it would promote a ‘wild lifestyle’ instead.
To settle the dispute Suffolk Coastal District Council was sent to investigate the pond – which is in the middle of a field – in 2019. Inspectors found there was ‘no evidence’ it was being used as a swimming pool. It later allowed an appeal, permitting the pond to be used for recreational activities.

But in an Instagram video from the summer, the star was seen jumping into the pond wearing just his swimming shorts, which risks infuriating the neighbours who objected.
Such ‘natural’ pools – typically priced around £120,000 – have become a fad among the wealthy wanting something that blends in with leafy gardens better than a traditional design, and uses plants rather than chemicals to keep the water clear.
Sheeran installed his with a jetty to dive off and a wooden Romany-style caravan, which could be used as a changing room.
A planning application at the time described how the pond would ‘support nature conservation… providing a natural habitat for breeding and wetland invertebrates such as dragonflies and water beetles, as well as providing a source of drinking water to birds and mammals’.
The £500,000 ‘pond’ which features two sets of steps and is believed to have been installed by Gartenart, which specialises in wild swimming pools.
After complaints in 2019, officials said there was ‘no evidence’ the ‘pond’ was being used for swimming but did find a Romany gypsy caravan parked by the water, which had been converted into a sauna.

They told Sheeran the sauna needed planning permission, or to be removed, and the caravan has now gone, with just the concrete base remaining. A council spokesman said they would ‘continue to monitor the situation.’
The 6.3-hectare grounds include informal gardens, an ornamental pond, lawns and fields. Sheeran was granted planning permission to build a wildlife pond in the grounds of his estate.
But the jetty and two sets of steps were added last summer and the council undertook an enforcement investigation, which questioned its use for recreational purposes.
The musician then applied for retrospective planning permission for the ladders and jetty, which was granted provided the pond was not used for swimming, and the enforcement case was closed.
One local resident told The Mail on Sunday: ‘It seems Ed is now doing what he wants. He seems to be getting permission for some things but thinking he can get away with other aspects of his renovations.’
