Riley Gaines recently reacted to the reintroduction of the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act. The motion was brought forward by William Gregory Steube, a member of the US House of Representatives.

The 24-year-old social activist reacted to the situation by posting on her X handle [formerly Twitter],

“Congressman @RepGregSteube is set to reintroduce the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act Men don’t belong in women’s sports The fact this even has to be said speaks volumes to the total disregard of common sense we’ve endured the past four years.”

A few days ago, Gaines had reacted to the unfortunate terror attack in the New Orleans, which left at least 15 people dead. The 24-year-old social activist posted on her X timeline,

“Sad you have to consider the possibility of getting plowed down by a terrorist when making NYE plans. This is the America Biden has created.”

Riley Gaines had previously campaigned against the NCAA for their bias towards the trans athletes. She also campaigned against the Title IX changes implemented by the outgoing US administration led by former president Joe Biden. According to Gaines and several other critics, the Title IX changes were just an excuse to stifle any kind of criticism against the participation of trans athletes in the women’s sports.

The controversy surrounding the MLK High School in California refuses to subside. The administration of the school has now been accused of being rude to the parents, as they stressed upon the fact that the participation of a trans athlete is more important than anything else.

In a conversation with the Fox News, the parents of some of the protesting students revealed what transpired during their conversation with the MLK High school administration. Despite the fact that the trans athlete hardly attended any of the practice sessions, the administration was adamant on ‘her’ inclusion.

“All the administrators at Martin Luther King have stated this comment, and the Title IX coordinator for the Riverside Unified School District has stated ‘that as a Cisgender girl, they do not have the same rights as a transgender girl’ to multiple girls, not just our daughters, but multiple girls on campus,” mentioned Ryan Starling, father of a student Taylor Starling in his conversation.

Gaines reacted to this by posting on her X handle,

“They said the quiet part out loud. You’re foolish if you ever believed it was about ‘equal rights’ .”

Riley Gaines has been campaigning for the exclusion of trans athletes from women’s sports since 2022. She first came into the limelight for her campaign against the NCAA over the participation of transgender swimmer, Lia Thomas, in the 2022 NCAA Championships.
