Billboard released the list of finalists for the 2023 Billboard Music Awards. To the shock of no one, Taylor Swift leads the pack. She’s up for 20 awards this year. She’s a finalist for Top Artist, Top Female Artist, Top Country Artist, and more.
Billboard reports that Swift could break BBMA records this year. She has already amassed more BBMA wins than any other female artist. She currently has 29 under her belt. However, she may top Drake to become the artist with the most wins. Currently, the Toronto-born rapper has 34 wins. He’s also up for 14 more awards this year. Additionally, Drake set the record for most wins in a single night when he brought home 13 awards in 2017. Swift could beat that record as well.
The 2023 Billboard Music Awards will take place on November 19. The awards show will team up with Spotify for “Fans First” which will “bring fans up-close-and-personal with their favorite artists.” Viewers can catch the performances and awards on BBMA and Billboard social media channels. Additionally, the show will stream on BBMAs.watch. The publication will start announcing performers for the awards show on social media starting November 6.
